Finished the turtle washcloth. I'm gonna give it to my mum since she likes both turtles and the color purple. I can't believe how hard this pattern was. You had to twist the stitches a lot to get them to make the shell. Cotton is not as forgiving as wool is too. But its done. so there.
Finished my rainbow yarn socks. Didn't like the toe up version. I'll still with cuff down. I like the German yarn a lot. I hoep I can get more. (Lorna;s Laces on the left, German stuff on the right)
So I was at Micheals and they had Sugar and Cream in sale. I got 710 yards for $5. Now I gotta figure out what to make with it.
So here's my start of a gauge swatch. I'm starting with my smallest needles (1.5 I think) then 2, 3, 4 and I;ll probably stop at 5.
OK so I found some blue Kool aid in Portland!!! So I tried it out on some scrap yarn. It didn't even take!! I figured out that it is pre-sweetened stuff. It only works with UNsweetened. So whatever. But I made a reusable swiffer from some leftover cotton. And a new yarn store opened in Portland and I got a hank of some yummy sock yarn!!
