Done with the first rainbow legwarmer that I knit for my plane tirp project to San Fran. It's a little tight at the top (I cast off too tight) but it'll do. Check out the open heel. THis way when I wear them to dance class they won't wear out as fast.

I am in Oakland California!!! I'm here for the NWSA conference. (Natl women's Studies Assoc). So far I've been to some good sessions and some where I just sat and knit and daydreamed. TOmmorrow looks like a couple of interesting sessions and then I'm spending the rest of the weekedn in SanFrancisco looking for City Lights book store, yarn stores and lesbians. Here's some pictures I took with my new digital camera. This cheapo thing has a bad focus. One shot is of the bay at sunset and waaaaay in the corner on the horizon line I could see Golden Gate Bridge but the camera just got an out focus shot of a bunch of crane looking things. My room in this hotel is in the corner and quiet but the wifi stops right at my door. So I'm sitting in the lobby. There is only one small 5 foot square spot of wifi at the conference center (a conference center with no wifi?) I guess if they had it all over the center for free then they wouldn't be ablr to charge us for it. Anyway here's some phots.

So now I'm working on these leg warmers for my dance class. They're going to be rainbow hopefully. My calves get so tight when I go on tip toe I need something to keep the muscles warm. It's also a way to get rid of this darn bunch of microspun.

My cat can be so funny sometimes.
Lok at my new painting!!! I love it. It is hanging in my bathroom!!
OK now this is weird but my son just got out of the shower and he needed his nails cut. So the towel fell off and I noticed he has hair growing on his balls!!! He's only 10!! I just wasn't ready for this. I thought he would come to me and ask about it. Its just a shock. My baby is growing up!!!!

Here's a scarf I've been working on. It's made of Borocco's Touche. I love it! It's so soft. It's cotton and Modal. I ran out of the pink for the edge just two feet shy of the end of the bind off edge! GGGrrrr!

This is another $4 sweater form goodwill. Originally from the gap, this one is cotton. It is really soft. I would love to make some comfy socks out of it. It really is too loud for a whole sweater. I haven't started unraveling it yet. Are my pictures looking blurry?

Here' a J Crew sweater I got at Goodwill for like $4. The label says 100% wool. I'm unraveling it. Maybe I'll knit with it, maybe I'll sell it. Maybe I can over dye it. I wonder if its superwash or if it will felt?

Here's a picture of a box of KP yarn I took with my new camera!

OK so I have knitted a bunch of stuff but my camera is being a putz. I SOOOO need a new one. The SUnday Flyer for Target says they got cameras on sale for $88. I'm thinking about it. I did manage to get this one photo of the Waterlily top from the latest issue of interweave knits. I made it out of cotton instead of ribbon.
